Correction policy

How PayBench handles benchmark corrections.

If you see a route-level issue in salary, freelance-rate, or job-market pages, you can submit a correction report. We prioritize corrections that include a public route URL and concrete evidence.

What to report

Report route URL, issue type (data mismatch, stale freshness, taxonomy mismatch, or broken trust labels), and supporting source evidence where possible.

Review workflow

Reports are triaged by PayBench operations and editorial owners. High-impact route issues are reviewed first, then queued for import, rollup rebuild, or trust-copy updates.

Response targets

Initial response target is 2 business days for route correctness reports and up to 5 business days when external source verification is required.

Governance

Ownership and review

Owner: PayBench operations and policy team. Last reviewed: 20 June 2026. This policy is reviewed whenever trust contracts, source registry rules, or correction workflows change.

Decision outcomes

Valid corrections may result in updated route facts, revised trust labels, temporary noindex gating, or source-rule adjustments documented in methodology surfaces.
